“Satan know that when women discover their true identity in Christ, his evil Kingdom will come to an abrupt end! We must develop a clear understanding of who GOD created us to be. Make his standard of living our standard. Jesus has the KEY to our identities. We all have unique gifts that express the complete image of God. God is calling us to use our gifts and talents to impact our society- to preach, to teach, to pray, to prophecy, and deliverance.” * from the book The Esther Anointing
The Gifts of the Holy Spirit are unique skills and abilities given by the Holy Spirit to faithful followers of Christ to serve God for the common benefit of his people, the church.
1 Corinthians 12
1Now concerninga spiritual gifts,b brothers,c I do not want you to be uninformed. 2You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. 3Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says “Jesus is accursed!” and no one can say “Jesus is Lord” except in the Holy Spirit.
4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. Ephesians 4:7-13
NIV
7 But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. 8 This is why it[1] says: “When he ascended on high, he took many captives and gave gifts to his people.”[2] 9 (What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[3] ? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.) 11 So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up 13 until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
WHAT IS GRACE? The merciful kindness by which God, exerting his holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ. Grace keeps, strengthens, increases the Christian faith, knowledge, affection, and kindles them to the exercise of the Christian virtues.
A CALL TO AWARENESS
Romans 12 teaches us how the body is called to use its gifts! Romans 12 is actually the summery of each Christian’s unique individuality that works in harmony together with the body of christ, which allows us to keep the sameness or oneness of God’s identity.
1I appeal to you therefore, brothers,a by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.b 2Do not be conformed to this world,c but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.d
Gifts of Grace
3For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. 4For as in one body we have many members,e and the members do not all have the same function, 5so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 6Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;7if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; 8the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,f with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
A CALL TO WARNING
Romans 11:29 for God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. (Gifts can not be reversed so be careful not to waste them!) We are also not to abuse them, use them for selfish gain, or seek our identity and values in them!
Jesus taught us to watch out for FALSE prophets, teachers, and disciples! We need to make sure we are not walking in any deception and use discernment.
True and False Prophets
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.16By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?17Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.18A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.20Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
True and False Disciples
21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.22Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’23Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
A CALL TO ACTION
Ministry is another word for SERVING
1 Timothy 4:12-16 DO NOT NEGLECT THE GIFTS
11Command and teach these things. 12Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 13Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching. 14Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. 15Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress. 16Keep a close watch on yourself and on the teaching. Persist in this, for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
WE ARE ALL CALLED TO The Ministry of Reconciliation
2 Corinthians 5
18All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 20Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
We must learn to walk in the Holy Spirit and in LOVE so that these gifts he has given to us will show forth their full expression to the person receiving them!
Love is the operation command center to grow in your gifts.
Read 1 Corinthians 13
The Way of Love
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing.
4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; 6it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.8Love never ends.
YOU ARE ACTIVE MILITARY SOLDIERS for the LORD’s ARMY ON THE FRONT LINES.
YOU CAN GO WHERE NO one else can go!
YOU CAN SPEAK LIKE NO one else CAN SPEAK!
THE LORD IS GOING TO USE YOUR OBEDIENCE TO HIM TO STOP AND QUIET YOURSELF to LISTEN TO HIS STILL SMALL VOICE- TO SPEAK TRUTH AND PROPHECY/EXHORT/ENCOURAGE/SHARE HOPE/ LIVE TURTH- IN OTHER’S LIVES.
YOU CAN BE A LIGHTHOUSE OF HOPE AND LIGHT AND YOU CAN LOVE THESE PEOPLE AND SEE THEM THE WAY GOD SEES THEM.
ASK HIM WHAT HE THINKS ABOUT THEM AND THEN SPEAK THAT TRUTH OVER THEIR LIVES.
WE MUST FIRST LEARN TO LOVE GOD AND ASK FOR HIS HEART, HIS COMPASSION, AND HIS MERCY TO SEE HIS PEOPLE THE WAY HE DOES.
WHEN WE ARE GIVEN A SUPERNATURAL MERCY AND GRACE TO LOVE SOMEONE THE LOVE IS RECEIVED AND IT IS REAL. IT IS TRUE. WHEN YOU LOVE SOMEONE YOU TRUST THEM.
GOD WILL GIVE YOU INFLUENCE OVER THESE PEOPLE TO LOVE THEM AND TRUST THEM AND THEY WILL BE DRAWN TO YOU. IT WON’T BE FROM YOU. IT WILL BE THE POWER OF INFLUENCE THE LORD HAS GRACED YOU TO RELEASE OVER YOUR LIFE AND OVER YOUR SPHERES TO MAKE A KINGDOM IMPACT.
ARE YOU READY TO RISE UP TO THE CALL of supernatural influence?
EVERY DAY WE MAKE small CHOICEs THAT SHAPE OUR DESTINY. YOUR DESTINY IS TO RULE AND REIGN WITH CHRIST JESUS AND MAKE HIM and HIS WILL KNOWN HERE ON EARTH.
THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO LIVE OUT THE CALL!
2 Peter 1:3 ESV
WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD WHEN WE SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM AND ITS RIGHTEOUSNESS! ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS GET OUR MINDS AND OUR WILLS OFF OURSELVES, AND BE ABOUT OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS!
I hope this teaching has stirred you up in your faith to seek God for what he has given you to express his love to those around you! May you not neglect the gifts the Lord has given to you, and may you grow in them in love! May they bless God, you, and the ones he has given to you to love and show his goodness too.
Blessings,
Ash’Leigh
